School Counseling

Every school provides guidance and counseling services to all students. Read 324P - School Guidance and Counseling Programs.

Counseling at Our School

For those of you not familiar with what a school counselor is, here are a few of the services the school counselor provides to help support students:

  • Classroom Guidance Lessons - Throughout the school year, your child will have guidance lessons addressing social emotional skills, academic success, and careers
  • Small Group Lessons - Small groups are designed to provide more direct opportunities to meet with the school counselor and other students that need a little extra support in different areas. A permission slip will be sent home letting you know that your child has been invited to be a part of a small group.
  • Individual Counseling - Students can meet with the school counselor to talk about things that might be worrying them, if they have a problem, or if they just want to share something that is important to them.
  • Support for parents and teachers
